Alan Stewart

Alan M. Stewart practices in the areas of mortgage foreclosure, eviction, and real estate areas of practice he's focused on since his admission to the South Carolina Bar in 1998. Throughout his career, Alan has represented banks and other mortgage servicers and lenders, government-sponsored enterprises and government agencies in foreclosure and debt collection matters, associated title, and eviction litigation, and post-foreclosure real estate owned (REO) dispositions. He also represents individual and business purchasers and sellers in traditional real estate transactions and is a title agent and approved attorney for First American Title Insurance Company and Stewart Title Guaranty Company. He has served as a member of the USFN REO/Eviction Committee.
A native of Durham, North Carolina, Alan was also admitted to the North Carolina State Bar in 2003 and is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Alan has appeared in state court in every county in South Carolina, and although most of the clients he serves are large and sophisticated national institutions, he enjoys being able to apply his local knowledge obtained over his years of practice to navigate through local court preferences and procedures to attempt to achieve optimal results for them.
